Summer Uprising Fan Vote Winners

8/17/2011
IGSU
posted by Kris
After two weeks of input from fans and the Xbox Live Indie Game community, over 4,000 votes have been tallied and finally delivered our two winners. The title finishing with the most votes was Chester, while Redd: The Lost Temple finished second in the polling. Chester will be released on Thursday September 1st, while Redd: The Lost Temple will cap off the Summer Uprising the following day, on Friday September 2nd. Both titles will sell for 240 MS Points ($3). The winners were formally announced at last night’s #IGSU Twitter chat.
Chester is a 2D platformer using a unique blend of hand drawn graphics, which grants it a novel art style. To compliment the visual luster, the 5 various art styles can be switched on the fly! Chester contains over 10 personalities (characters) in nearly 30 levels.
Redd: The Lost Temple is a top down, 2D action/adventure game. The world is in danger from an unknown physical phenomenon and the archeologist Allie and the explorer-for-hire Redd set out to save us. Only by navigating through an enormous dungeon, avoiding sinister traps, and enduring time based puzzles, can the adventurers try and unlock the mystery of the Royal Amulet of Konira and defeat The Lost Temple.
